One Little Did

This poem by Shel Silverstein is the whole foundation of paddle-trip planning---in seven little lines. It should be tattooed on our foreheads, so we see it every time we look in the mirror.

Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda

All the Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas

Layin’ in the sun,

Talkin’ ‘bout the things

They woulda-coulda-shoulda done…

But those Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas

All ran away and hid

From one little did.
